Talon Analytical is an environmental testing laboratory that specializes in testing Hemp nationally and Adult-Use Cannabis & Medicinal Cannabis in New York State. Hemp and Cannabis are tested to meet the current standards set forth Federally and by the State of New York.
We are committed to protecting the health and safety of Medical cannabis, adult-use and hemp products by supporting cannabis growers and processors with accurate and precise analytical testing of products.
Products to be tested include but are not limited to vape cartridges, tinctures, capsules, tablets, cannabis flowers, cannabis extracts, and other intermediates.

Mike started his career as an Anesthesiologist in NY. Over the past 10 years he has become a partner in a large medical laboratory as well as many other medical businesses. Cannabis and Hemp testing became an interest of his 3 years ago while noticing the excitement around the new industry. He felt it was especially important to provide safe, untainted cannabis or hemp products to patients.
Analytical chemist experienced in the production and testing of medical cannabis products. 3 years working as formulation chemist performing extraction, distillation, formulation, packaging, and testing of a wide range of cannabis products. Support research and development of new cannabis-based products, including the development of testing methods and scale-up technology transfer.
Salman has worked in the field of microbiology for over 5 years. He graduated from Stony Brook University with a bachelor’s in biology with a specialization in neuroscience and has hopes to further his studies in microbiology. Salman is passionate about learning as well as implementing new technologies to improve the overall efficiency of laboratories. With 5+ years of microbiology food testing, Salman looks forward to growing my overall knowledge in microbiology with my transition into cannabis testing.
Chelsea is a graduate from York College, City University of New York with a B.S. in Chemistry and Psychology minor. She has accumulated academic experience through college research. Her role is to ensure proper sample handling and preparation in accordance with standard operating procedures. She plans to pursue her Masters in Chemistry in order to expand her knowledge and analytical skills.
Brynn Stocker has most recently worked in the field of forensic science, performing analysis of seized controlled substances. Prior to her forensic work, she worked in pharmaceutical research and development, providing her with hands-on laboratory experience. Her work in forensic science provided her with a knowledge of ISO requirements, having participated often in internal audits. She is a proponent of the legalization of cannabis. Because of this, coming to work at Talon was a natural next step for her.
After obtaining her B.B.A. in Business Administration from Iona College, Alison worked for a medical cannabis company where she specialized in community and practitioner outreach and education. While beginning her career in the cannabis sector, Alison began studying to obtain her M.S. in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics from the University of Maryland, where she graduated in Spring 2021 as part of the program’s first graduating class. Throughout her M.S. program courses, Alison grew fascinated by cannabis testing and the importance it holds from both a consumer safety and educational standpoint.
