The Cannabis Line Testing program, which was launched in the Fall of 2022, has been discontinued as of July 1, 2023. This regulatory update holds implications for all AUCC and AUCP licensees who have been utilizing this provision to test multiple lots of finished cannabis products simultaneously.
Once the line testing program ends, each batch or lot of cannabis product must undergo individual testing. This includes different flavors of gummies and strains of cannabis flower, which now need separate compliance testing.
The individual testing requirement aims to achieve more accurate and representative testing for each specific batch of products. While it may seem tedious, it’s crucial for detecting potential inconsistencies and enhancing the understanding of your product’s unique properties.
At Talon Analytical, we are dedicated to assisting our clients through this transition. If you have any queries or concerns about these changes, don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here to ensure your products continue to meet compliance standards and deliver the quality your customers expect.
